Thinking caps on for momentous final Mo

Everyone’s got their thinking caps on for events for this year’s Movember since it will be the last one for the Mintlaw Mo’s team.

Wayne and Louise have decided that this will be the last year for the Mintlaw Mo’s team so they really want to make it extra special.

Rather than just growing Mo’s for The Prostate Cancer Charity (Movember) they want to make it a month of fundraising for another very special charity too.

They said: “If everyone is in agreement we would like to donate some of the money raised to Kayleigh’s Wee Stars. This is a charity that has been set up by a family who tragically lost their young daughter to a terminal brain tumour recently to support families in similar situations both financially and emotionally. This is a fantastic cause and deserves the recognition. Kayleigh’s Wee Stars has a Facebook page. Please take a look.”

The response from the Mintlaw Mo’s to this idea was fantastic so hopefully some great fundraising ideas are int he pipeline.

A 100-mile bike run has been mentioned, but the next guaranteed event is helping out at a Home and Gift Fayre being held in the Mintlaw Public Hall from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, November 3.

More than 20 local traders will be selling a large selection of gifts to suit any special occasion.

It’s free entry and some of the Mo Sista’s will be there serving soup and home bakes. There will also be raffles, face painting and lucky dips.
