PETERHEAD Community Hospital have welcomed the delivery of a brand new chair, thanks to The League of Friends.

The new state-of-the-art chair is a massive upgrade from the old plastic seats patients had to use previously.

The seat will be available for patients who are getting blood samples taken.

Unlike the old plastic seats, the new chair has arm rests so patients can sit comfortably and at ease while they are receiving treatments.

The new chair is also height adjustable to save doctors and nurses from hovering over patients.

Sister Alison Leslie said: “The League of Friends work so hard to raise money and the Hospital feels the benefit of it so we can’t thank them enough.”

The League of Friends raise money through the Hospital shop and by holding fundraising events. The funds are then used to purchase new equipment.
