A four-figure donation has been given by the proprietors of the Bancar Hotel at Lonmay towards the new Medical Centre being built at Crimond.

Dr Robert Murray who was representing the Crimond Charitable Trust, received a cheque for £2000 from Tina and David Gibbins.

“Mine host” David Gibbins said: “Both Tina and I are registered with the Crimond Medical Practice which has served the community well for many years. Many of our regular customers are also served by the Practice and we saw this as an opportunity for us to put something back into the Community and say a thank you not only to the Practice but also to our customers for their support.”

Tina added “The new building will be a tremendous asset to the area not only as a medical facility but also as a Community Resource with Pharmacy and Café. We are really looking forward to it.”

The project is being undertaken by the Crimond Charitable Trust with support already pledged from several local businesses and organisations, and the cost being underwritten by the Score Group.

However, the Trust is hoping that more local companies and organisations will get on board to financially support the facility in a bid to guarantee its success.
