A Halloween Party held at The Harbour Lights on Saturday, November 1 raised £617 and the money has been donated to the Willowbank Respite Bungalow at Glendaveny.

Event organiser Brenda McLean said: “Thank you to Ian Sangster for providing the disco and thanks to all the local businesses who donated raffles.”

Pat Paterson of the Respite Bungalow said: “We would like to thank Brenda and her family for all of their efforts, it was a really good party.

“We want to do up our garden and put in a summer house so we are currently saving for one and this very kind donation will go towards that.

Pat added: “The summer house will be great for use by both adults and children, and it will enable all of our clients to spend some time outside in the warmer days.”

Brenda’s son Ross was on hand to present the cheque to staff members Pat and Rosalyn on Friday, November 21.
