Boddam Public Hall Committee are looking for new members to come on board and help manage the building.
Chairperson Kim Buchan has been on the committee since 2003 and is concerned that the hall could face closure if no one comes forward.
She said: “I don’t want to see it close but in the long-term, if no one new joins it will, it is a possibility.”
The committee is made up of only four members at the moment, though they would like to see more committed people join with the possibility of taking over the running of the hall in the future.
Kim added: “The hall is used often and we hold committee meetings every couple of months.
“There are a few activities currently on-going in the hall just now including yoga and line dancing, we take bookings for children’s parties and host voting polls around election time.”
The Hall Management Committee’s aim is for the hall to be used on a regular basis to benefit residents in education, recreation and leisure time facilities to improve their quality of life.
The next Boddam Public Hall Committee meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 30 at 7pm in the lower hall and anyone interested in finding out more about the committee are welcome along.
