A pair of lambs which were stolen from their owners at the beginning of May around the Culsch area of New Deer have been returned safe and well.
Owners Loraine and Alec Allan feared the week-old lambs would not survive without proper care, but were delighted to find they had been returned safely on Sunday, May 25.
It is understood the lambs were healthy but hungry and no harm had come to the animals.
Police Scotland are still looking for information into the theft which took place between 10.30pm on Saturday, May 3 and 6.15am on Sunday, May 4.
Anyone with information is asked to contact 101.
