This year’s Buchanhaven harbour gala was blessed with glorious sunshine at the weekend as hundreds flocked to enjoy a host of activities.
There was something for everyone on Saturday with the fun beginning at 2pm.
Blue skies greeted the crowds as they headed down to the harbour area which was bedecked with bunting and buzzing with the sounds of laughing children.
The popular barbecue proved a hit as long queues formed to sample the delights, while there were boat trips stalls and games for everyone to enjoy.
There was also plenty of fun to be had on the jet skis, with everyone making the most of the glorious weather.
Buchanhaven Harbour Committee had been working hard for months to prepare a host of activities and attractions for the summer event.
This year, in addition to all the usual attractions, Buchanhaven Heritage Society hosted a general exhibition in the centre making it a whole village affair.
Commenting prior to Saturday’s event, harbour committee member George Cameron, told the Buchanie: “We were delighted at the response last year and it became clear by the end of the event we would need to stage another this year. We really hope we get a similar response this year and that the weather will be as kind to us.
“A lot of planning and preparation goes into the event, so hopefully we will have something for all tastes and it is great to see the village tradition back on the events calendar to benefit all.”
