The ROTARY club of Peterhead and Northern Platforms and Stagings (N.P.S) held a fun day in aid of Daniel Gallagher, Olivia Downie and the Rotary Club at Peterhead. recently.
The event was organised by N.P.S and was held on Saturday June 23.
Peterhead Air Cadets helped out at the event on the stalls throughout the day.
The poor weather did not stop people turning out for the event and the day was heralded as a great success by the organisers .
A spokesman for The Rotary Club of Peterhead said: “The inclement weather so far this summer did little to dampen the high spirits of the organisers and participants of the ‘Fun Day’, organised by, and located on the premises of Northern Platforms and stagings in Wilson Street, Peterhead.”
“This ‘Fun Day’ was a fundraising event for the employees, families, children and guests, to partake in.
“There was a bouncy castle, side shows, barbeque, bottle stalls and raffle, hi- lift “cherry picker” and live music, giving an exciting time for everyone, even though the summer weather made an intermittent appearance also!”
“Nevertheless the spirits were not dampened, and with sponsorship from numerous local businesses, plus the attendance of the Peterhead Air Cadets and members of The Rotary club of Peterhead, to date, £1425.54 in cash was raised to benefit the chosen charities, namely those of Daniel Gallagher and Olivia Downie, and also that of the Rotary Club.”
“Further donations may still be made to N.P.S or to the Rotary Club itself.”
“N.P.S and their employees wish to thank all who helped in the running and sponsorship of the event.”
