TRAFFIC was held up last week at a Peterhead Supermarket following a fuel spillage.
Fire Fighters were called to the town’s Morrison’s supermarket after a member of staff noticed pools of petrol at the store’s car park.
The team of fire fighters diverted traffic for a short time while the spillage was cleaned.
A Spokesman for Grampian Fire and Rescue said: “A car belonging to a Morrison’s customer appears to have split fuel all around the car park. Obviously there is a fire risk involved, should someone drop a cigarette or a match.”
The spillage was cleaned up swiftly.
