This was the fourth annual Fun Run hosted by MACBI (Mintlaw and Central Buchan Initiative) with runners of all ages taking part.

The event is aimed at both helping to raise awareness and support of the creation of the new state-of-the-art Mintlaw Community Hub, as well as providing the local community with a fun day out.

There were four lengths available: 1K, 3K, 5K, and for the more adventurous, a 10K, for participants to run, walk or jog.

Speaking after the event, MACBI chairman and councillor Norman Smith said: “It was very successful, there were 160 runners and we managed to raise around £550 which will go to the MACBI fund.

“The event was well received and everyone enjoyed themselves.”
