A former Peterhead man who now lives in Cleveland has celebrated his 65th wedding anniversary.

Robert George Bain - who is affectionately known as Bob - and Dorris Bain (nee Youngson) celebrated the milestone anniversary on April 3.

The couple moved to Teesside over 60 years ago to find work but still have family and friends in Peterhead.

During his career, Bob was in the Navy and stationed at Lossiemouth - where he first met Dorris.

Together, the couple has four daughters: Maureen; twins Pamela and Patricia; and youngest daughter, Julia.

Bob, 87, and Dorris, 85, also have eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Bob has two siblings in Peterhead - Herbie Bain and Julia Cooper; while Dorris still has family in Lossiemouth.

Until recently, Bob and Dorris visited Peterhead every year to see their family and friends.
