Interested members of the Cruden Parish Church fellowship who have been keeping to the theme of this year’s Week of Prayer for Christian Unity are reminded that they are invited to meet at the manse this evening (Tuesday, January 25) at 7.30 pm to join in an act of worship to end this special week.
Peterhead St.Andrew’s Parish Church Guild will have their Burns’ Supper on Wednesday, January 26, at the earlier time of 7pm. Elaine Silcock and party will present the programme.
On Wednesday, January 26m at 7.15pm, the Peterhead Methodist Church Sisterhood will welcome as their guests Anna Mark and Friends (Old Parish Church). All ladies are very welcome.
A special evening is being featured in the Peterhead Fisherman’s Mission on Saturday, January 29, commencing at 7pm, with a Fish and Chip Supper – courtesy of the Dolphin Cafe. This is to be followed by a programme of entertainment featuring Catherine Wyle’s Plus Support.
Tickets, priced at £10 each, are on a strictly limited number and are available from the Fisherman’s Mission, Union Street, Peterhead (Telephone 01779 – 472940).
One must not overlook that in the Mission on Sunday, January 30, at 8 p. m., there will be the Night Cap service to which all are welcome.
You are very welcome to join the congregation at Peterhead Old Parish Church at 11am, on Sunday, January 30, when the service will be conducted by Mr. Richard Sneddon.
The Sunday School meets at 11am. Any new pupils of primary school age will be made very welcome. Crèche facilities are available.
On Sunday, January 30, there is no morning service in St. Droston’s Episcopal Church, Old Deer. However, the St. Droston friends are invited that day to share in a Joint Eucharist which is to be celebrated at 4pm in St. John’s Episcopal Church, Longside.
Cruden Parish Church has intimated that the Sacrament of Holy Communion will be administered at the morning service on Sunday, January 30, at 10am.
Then on Monday, January 31, at 7.30pm, Alan Gray and Keith Hewitt will give a talk to the Cruden Parish Church Guild on their Sahara Trek.
The Keswick in Buckie weekend with the Rev. Hector Morrison as guest speaker is being held in Buckie North Church from Friday, January 28, to Sunday, January 30, inclusive. The meeting times are 7.30pm, on Friday; 10.30am, and 7.30pm on Saturday: and 11am, and 7.30pm on Sunday.
Peterhead Congregational Church Ladies’ Guild will meet on Monday, January 31, at 7.30pm, when Anne Bowlerwell will be welcomed as the visiting speaker.
Notice of a future date is given again on behalf of St.Droston’s Episcopal Church, Old Deer. A Quiz Night is to be held at the Buchan Indoor Bowling Club on Saturday, March 26, at 7.30pm. On Thursday, January 27: there is a Men’s Fellowship at 7pm.
Starting on Friday, January 28, and continuing every Friday from 6 to 7.30pm, for children in primaries 1-7 it is Planet Kidz with games, stories, crafts and tuck shop. Entry is 50p.
Commencing Friday, January 28, and on each Friday after at 8-10.30 p.m. there will be a Youth Café Drop-in at the Salvation Army: a safe place for youth of secondary school ages upwards to meet including pool table, games, drinks and snacks.
