EXXONMOBIL demonstrated its support of the local lifeboat station in Peterhead last week with a £2,000 donation.
The cheque was presented to station mechanic Calum Reid by the firm’s Fiona Allardyce last week.
Calum said: “We would like to say a big thank you to Exxonmobil. The money they donate always goes to good use and £2,000 will cover the training of two crewmen who have never been to sea before, bringing them up to the same standard as other members of the crew.”
Fiona added: “We are always glad when we have extra funds to distribute. The RNLI is such a worthy cause, and staff at Exxonmobil are glad that the money will go towards keeping others at sea safe.”
