Equipment donations for Maternity units

The Banff and Buchan Sands group have presented donations to Peterhead, Aberdeen and Elgin Maternity units.

They donated nine portable Sonic Aids, 15 Portable Blood Pressure Monitors, two Cool Cots and three Moses baskets.

One Cool Cot and Moses basket went to Dr Grays in Elgin and the other has been kept in Aberdeen with one of the baskets going to Shetland.

The Sands group also recently commissioned and supplied two granite benches to the Sands Garden of remembrance at Aden Park Mintlaw and Myrus Cemetery.

Activities and donations made by Banff and Buchan Sands was possible thanks to generous donations from local communities and groups.

The committee also recently took part in a sponsored walk from the Memorial Garden at Aden Park to the Rocksley Inn, Boddam organised by The Harbour Lights Buffaloes.

They are a local group who raise money each year for charities and have chosen Banff and Buchan Sands as their charity for the year.

Sands supports anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby before, during or after birth.
