Heather Ewen and Alison Spencer presented staff at Peterhead Hospital with a syringe driver and other various pieces of medical equipment on Friday, October 31.
The equipment was purchased using donations collected at Heather’s husband James’ funeral last September.
Alison, James’ daughter, said: “We want to say thank you to the staff here and to the public for their generosity as if it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have been able to buy the equipment.
“We also want to thank everyone who kindly donated at the funeral and £1,200 was raised in total.
“The syringe driver can be taken out and about in thecommunity, and it helped to make dad’s last days more comfortable.
“We hope that this equipment can help other people and it will be kept locally for use by the Peterhead nurses only.”
