AMintlaw Academy student has picked up a top award at the recent Career Ready Awards in London.

Aimee Mowattwas one of three Aberdeenshire students nominated for the AstraZeneca STEM Student of the Year Award.

Aimee took third prize in the STEM Award in the engineering category and won a prize of £150.

Career Ready is a national charity that links education with businesses to help prepare young people for the world of work.

Isobel Maughan, regional manager for Career Ready in the North East of Scotland, said: “These three students from Aberdeenshire are all fantastic examples of how the programme can help to inspire a student to think about how their studies relate to the wider world and how they can use them for their future career.”
