A GROUP of 4th year Peterhead Academy pupils recently undertook a Careers Essential programme led by Sharon Tulloch Careers Adviser with Skills Development Scotland.

The programme was delivered over a six-week period one period per fortnight in school.

The main aim was to inform the 13 pupils how to make an easy transition from school to college, work or training less daunting.

The modules delivered by Sharon included Getting to know you better; Why the Right Attitude Matters; Goal Planning; Skills and Qualities; The hidden needs of employers; Resources for Finding Employment and Interview Techniques.

At the end of the programme pupils felt that they were more equipped for starting college or entering the world of work. They then received certificates from acting headteacher Evan Ritchie.
