Fraserburgh Rotary Club have kindly donated £150 towards the transport costs to ensure Tyrie School pupils can participate in Swimming lessons in Fraserburgh.

The swimming lessons are aimed at pupils in P4 and all children within the Fraserburgh cluster schools are given the opportunity to receive a block of lessons at some point during the year - however, transport costs are not funded.

Mrs Sheila Watt and Mr Bill Michie recently went along to the school’s Community Café and spoke to the pupils about the work of the Rotary Club before presenting the cheque to P4 pupil Alyx Davidson.

Mrs Nicola Ogston, head teacher, said: “ The donation is very much appreciated as without support from groups such as the Rotary it would be very difficult for us to cover the cost of the buses. The pupils are very grateful and are looking forward to their swimming lessons.”
