Pupils and relatives from a Buchan primary school have strutted their stuff on the catwalk to raise funds for the future.

Primary 7 pupils from St. Fergus donned the latest trends for a special fashion show on Friday, March 20.

Money raised from the event went towards their ‘Leavers’ Legacy’.

So what is a Leavers’ Legacy?

Last year the P7 class decided they would like to fund raise to improve the school so that the future pupils in the school can enjoy them.

Their legacy was to refurbish the library.

This year it is the intention of the P7 pupils to spray paint games outside, in the playground so that there would be plenty for pupils to do during their break.

The youngsters decided that this year’s legacy fundraiser would be to hold a fashion show.

All clothes for the show were provided by Dorothy Perkins/Burton based in Peterhead.

Dads, uncles, teachers and pupils took to the catwalk and showed off the latest fashions in front of a packed house of appreciative relatives and fellow pupils and staff.

A spokesperson for the school told the Buchanie: “After months of planning the event it turned out to be a huge success.

“We sold tickets and also raffles on the night and we managed to raise the fantastic total of £814.05.

“All of the P7 pupils would like to thank everyone who helped; we very much appreciate the support.”

The cash will now go towards the painting of games on the playground outside the school, which will be enjoyed by future generations at St. Fergus.
