Teachers and pupils at Peterhead Academy’s base unit got into the festive spirit recently by hosting a Christmas Fair.

The fair was held on Thursday, November 14 and was open for all pupils, members of staff and parents.

Items for sale included handmade jewellery, Christmas baubles, glitter glasses, butterfly bowls and bird feeders.

Raffles were also available with a number of festive hampers, gift wrapped and decorated by pupils, up for grabs.

Youth worker, Val Buchan said: “The pupils have been working hard preparing for this over the past few months, using their art and craft skills.

“We have been busy and everyone is so pleased with it.”

Money raised from the fair will benefit the base by helping to purchase new equipment.

Val added: “We would like to thank the Parent Council for all their help and being on board, this is the first time they have been involved and it has given us a great boost.”
