On Thursday, June 25, the Dales Park School choir and the P7 vocal group performed for the residents of Grange Park Home in Peterhead.

The choir, which comprises around 30 primary 1- primary 7 pupils, has been rehearsing with Miss Sutherland and Miss Gillies in preparation for their visit to the care home.

Meanwhile, the P7 vocal group, which is an acapella harmony group, has been rehearsing with Miss Sutherland.

Both the choir and vocal group performed beautifully and their performance was thoroughly enjoyed by the residents.

There then followed solo performances from the runners-up and winners of the Dales Park Young Singer of the Year competition.

Superb performances were given by Sophie McLeman, Eve Donovan, Grace Johnston and Caitlyn Cruickshank.

These choir and vocal group members have worked incredibly hard over the past year with numerous opportunities to perform at events.

These included the PTA fun days, the Vocal Group Treble Tastic Tuesday quiz night and the Young Singer of the Year.

The young members of the vocal group even enjoyed a trip to see ‘Wicked’ in May.

A spokeswoman from Dales Park told the Buchanie: “The choir and vocal group were delighted at the final opportunity to perform this year for the residents at Grange Park.

“Everyone was made to feel incredibly welcome by the residents and staff.”
