Jenna Noble (24), of Peterhead has graduated with an MSc in Human Resource Managemetn from Robert Gordon University’s Aberdeen Business School.

Jenna’s undergraduate degree is sociology and after graduating the first time she felt there were so many different career paths she could take but just couldn’t make a decision.

She said: “Human Resources came back to me each time I explored different career options.

“It continues to grow each year and has emerged as a key business function across all sectors and I felt that it offered me the opportunity for career progression.

“Being part of this course has changed my career completely.

“It has given me direction and shown me some strengths I did not know I had which are useful in the job that I do.

“The CIPD qualification was crucial when it came to my career, without this I would be unable to progress and develop in my current role.”

Jenna secured a job at Halliburton as a member of the Learning and Development team during her course so had to continue the final section of her masters part-time while working full-time.

She added: “During my masters I found that having a good support system with friends in my class helped me when we were under pressure.

“The course is a lot of work but having a group of people to share the experience with allowed us to help each other.

“It allowed us to bond and I am lucky to call them friends as we continue to help each other now that we are all working in HR.

“To graduate is a relief on one level, because it is the culmination of so much hard work but on another level it’s exciting because of the possibilities that are ahead.”

Jenna graduated from the university on July 10.
