Iain brings with him significant experience in the training area, and was most recently working within training ans competency for a major UK bank.
Iain said: “I am delighted to be working in this exciting role within the education sector.
“We are just launching two new courses that have been driven by business demand, so I am looking forward to getting out and about, introducing myself and sharing the details of these courses with new and existing clients.”
The first course offers international recognition for hydraulics and is run by the newly created Scottish Fluid Power Centre at Banff and Buchan College.
The centre has gained approval to offer the CETOP Level 3 qualification for technicians working in industrial and mobile hydraulics. The college is only one of two centres in the UK to offer this internationally recognised qualification.
The College will also be entering a new era in Temporary Refuge Integrity by offering the HSE recommended City & Guilds Accredited TRIBB course to meet safety criteria for all on and offshore pressurised modules.
