Meethill School have managed to raise £573.92 for Cancer Research UK.
Part of the money was collected at the school and nursery Christmas Concerts while £125.36 was raised by pupil Aimee Shepherd after she broke her wrist and asked friends for a donation to charity in order to sign her cast.
Assistant manager of the branch, Audrey Bartlet said: “I enjoyed a lovely afternoon at Meethill School’s Christmas Concert. The beautiful singing, costumes and happy faces made a perfect day.
“Myself and the volunteers at Cancer Research UK Peterhead wish to thank Meethill School for donating their silver collection to our charity this year.
“The shop is very fortunate to have 46 volunteers who dedicate time every week towards raising money for vital research but receiving a cash donation like this is fantastic.”
