Every year the school teams up with Strichen and Mintlaw Primary schools for a trip to Loch Insh, and this year pupils decided they wanted to get a leavers hoodie to wear on their visit.

Longside head teacher, John Imlah, said: “We had a couple of parent helpers on the day and I would like to thank them for coming along.

“Some pupils didn’t think they would manage to walk the distance but luckily it was a fine day so that helped them, they worked really hard.

“I’m sure passers-by could see them!”

The P7 pupils managed to raise just under £600.

Mr Imlah added: “We have already ordered the hoodies with the money and we have some left over which we will put towards a wee trip before the end of the year.”
