Pupils and staff at Clerkhill School have taken part in a host of fun activities as part of their ‘Health Week’.

The themed week was organised by teachers Miss Massie, Mrs Buchan, Mrs Bruce and the Health Promoting Schools Committee.

Pupils and staff came to school in their sports clothes each day, ready for a range of activities including a climbing wall and body zorbing as well as running, hula hooping and races for younger pupils.

In addition to physical activities, pupils also learned about staying healthy with lessons on mental health amongst other topics.

Commenting, class teacher Becky Massie said: “The lovely weather has allowed the children to enjoy a fun-filled session on the Climbing Wall and the Body Zorbs as well as numerous other activities focusing on different aspects on keeping healthy. “We hope the sun keeps shining for the rest of the week!”
