Pupils at Dales Park School in Peterhead hosted a Burns Afternoon for family and friends recently.
The event was held on Monday, January 25, to celebrate the Scottish poet Robert Burns.
Some pupils took part in a poetry reading competition and each took their turn at reciting a Doric or Burns poem that they had chosen.
Others performed Highland dancing routines, the school choir sang traditional Scottish songs and one pupil played their chanter at the end of the afternoon.
All of the pupils that took part in the poetry competition were given a certificate and badge for taking part and the winners received a gift voucher.
At the end of the afternoon the parents that went along were treated to refreshments and were encouraged to join in with the ceilidh.
Samuel Anderson brought in the haggis and former Dales Park pupils Joanna and Francis Milne were the pipers for the event.
