Admininstration success for girls

Since gaining approval last year from SQA to run the National Certificate in Administration at Peterhead Engineers Development Ltd (PEDL), the first administration trainees have successfully completed the course.

The organisation has been delivering engineering training locally for 45 years and in 2008 PEDL expanded its instructional team and added Business Administration to its training portfolio.

The move was undertaken to specifically support the development of locally employed trainees working in this sector. This development and investment provides young people in the Peterhead area with the opportunity to study locally and achieve a National Certificate in Administration at SCQF Level 5.

The National Certificate was run over a three-month period covering 12 units. The successful completion of this course has given the seven admin trainees a recognised SQA certificate.

Business & Administration instructor Elaine Buchan said: This is a fantastic achievement for the trainees and their hard work has paid off all completing the units within a short time scale.”
