The Buchanhaven Heritage Centre refurbishment fund raffle has received a boost following a donation from a local bakery.

Katrina Allan of Murdoch Allan and Son very kindly presented Buchanhaven Heritage Society chairman, Alex Geddes with a hamper full of tasty treats on Friday, October 24.

The Heritage Society are currently working towards turning the former school into a heritage centre to act as a community hub within Buchanhaven.

Raffle tickets are currently on sale, with all money going towards the refurbishment fund.

The biscuit hamper is just one of many fantastic items up for grabs that have been donated by local businesses.

The raffle draw will take place at the centre’s Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 13.

Alex said: “We are delighted that Murdoch Allan stepped forward willingly with the hamper, we didn’t even ask them to do this.

“We have had so much support from the community and local businesses, and we will draw the raffle on the same day that we will launch Buchanhaven Volume Two.”

Katrina added: “We are always happy to help any local charity or local cause.”
