Dog lovers are being asked to turn their pet pooches into superheroes at Aden County Park next month for a charity fundraising walk.

The Guide Dogs charity for North East Aberdeenshire will host Dogs Unite! at Aden County Park on Saturday October 1.

For the event dog owners are asked to dress up their pets in superhero capes and take them on a fundraising walk.

Mary Hirst, Guide Dog’s local fundraising Co-ordinator said: “All dog lovers enjoy taking their lovely pet on fun walks, now they can do that and help Guide Dogs to change the lives of people with sight loss.

“Come along and make your family friend a fundraising hero for the day.”

The ‘gentle’ three mile walk through woodland - described as “fairly easy with a gentle incline” - starts at 10.30 am in the courtyard of Aden County Park registration at 10 am.

Booking for the event is required and can be done so at www.guidedogs.org.uk/dogs-unite/find-events/aden-country-park-dogs-unite.

Once registered dog owners will receive a welcome pack, complete with free super dog cape and sponsorship form to get the fundraising under way.

People who register are being challenged to raise £35 in sponsorship which is enough to support a guide dog partnership for a week.

All ages, of both dog and people, are welcome to the sponsored superhero walk.
