Buchan Veterinary Clinics Peterhead was delighted with the success of its recent Open Day,drawing in the crowds from the local community.

Due to the large turnout, Buchan Vets will be able to present their chosen charity, Canine Concern Scotland Trust , with a cheque for £400.

Therapet Dog of the Year, Ben, and his two companions, Breagh and Kobe coped amazingly well throughout the day.

A donation will also be given to The Owl & Pussy Cat Centre who kindly brought along their birds of prey for the public to meet during the event.

Meanwhile, you Calvin Sebold from Mintlaw, who attended the open day, decided to undertake a sponsored walk to raise cash for the charity.

Calvin did the walk from Mintlaw to Longside and back and raised a fantastic £200.

Calvin’s mum, Amber, told the Buchanie: “After visiting the open day Calvin decided he wanted to raise money for the cause.

“The walk was entirely his idea. He arranged it, set the date, chose the charities, planned the route and handed out sponsorship forms.”

Calvin’s money will be split beetween Canine Concern Scotland and the Cats Protection League.

Staff at Buchan Veterinary Clinic expresed their thanks to all those who supported the staff and made the occasion such a memorable one.
