PETERHEAD St. Andrew’s Parish Church Guild will meet on Wednesday, February 9, at 7.30pm. The invited guests are Mr. and Mrs. Simpson from Fraserburgh who will present the Gospel in word and song.
Jean Bain and Friends from Peterhead Baptist Church will be sharing fellowship with the Methodist Church Sisterhood at their meeting on Wednesday, February 9, at 7.15pm. A warm welcome is extended to all ladies.
It is a real pleasure to report that the work on the wet rot at Cruden Parish Church has now been completed, and the congregation were delighted to be back in church on Sunday, January 30, to celebrate Holy Communion.
The next part of the project is the installation of new windows which will take place in the Spring depending on how successful the grant applications are, but in the meantime fundraising is ongoing.
You are very welcome to come along to Peterhead Old Parish Church at 11am. on Sunday, February 13, when the Rev. Pauline Thomson will conduct the service.
There will be no Sunday School that morning.
A new session of the Adult Sunday School at Cruden Parish Church started on Sunday, February 6, and it will continue through February 13, 20 and 27, from 11.30am. until 12.15pm, the subject being “Discovering more about the Bible”, and the February 13 subject being “The making of the Bible”. On that particular date there will be a book stall in the Church Hall.
The “Watch and Talk Group” will meet on Monday, February 14, at 7.30pm in “Burnview”, Cruden Bay.
Peterhead Fishermen’s Mission has the regular Night Cap service on Sunday, February 13, at 8pm. to which all are welcome. Being the second Sunday in the month, the Mission Superintendent leads this service.
Teams of four are being invited to enter for the next Quiz Night which is being organised by St. Drostan’s Episcopal Church, Old Deer.
The event will take place on Saturday, March 26, at 7.30 pm in the Buchan Indoor Bowling Club. The entrance fee of £10 per team includes refreshments and the contact person is Liz on (01771) 624494.
Peterhead Congregational Church Ladies’ Guild will meet on Monday, February 14, at 7.30pm, when Mr. Robert Cardno is to be the guest speaker.
Then on Saturday, February 19, the Ladies’ Guild will be having a Buttery Morning in the church hall at the normal times.
The next meeting of Peterhead Old Parish Church Guild is on Wednesday, February 16, at 7.30pm, when the guest speakers, Mrs. Elizabeth Noble and John William Noble, will be talking about their trip to India.
Blythswood Care has arranged for the charity’s collecting vehicle to visit Peterhead and district on Thursday, February 17, to receive donations of items to help Blythswood in its extensive work throughout the world.
The usual locations and times are unchanged and all gifts will be received most gratefully.
