A team from Peterhead’s Curves fitness centre raised nearly £1,000 in aid of the Step Up For Dylan campaign.

The Curvettes organised a sponsored walk as well as raffles and open day teas.

Wilma Shepherd of Curves said: “When deciding which cause to support we just thought Dylan was the most worthwhile.”

Dylan Parsons suffers from Spastic Diplegia and has flown out to the United States to receive major spinal surgery which will help him to walk.

His family began the Step Up For Dylan campaign last year to raise the £50,000 needed to pay for their son’s selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR).

Dylan’s mother Jenna has thanked the people of Buchan for their support after hundreds of people took part in fundraising events.
