A PETERHEAD woman bit a nightclub doorman after her friend was thrown out, a court heard last week.
Peterhead Sheriff Court heard on Thursday that Lynne Murray (24), had been drinking at Mambo’s nightclub on the town’s Queen Street on January 9 when security staff asked her male friend to leave.
Procurator Fiscal Alisdair Fay said: “A man was asked to leave Mambo’s nightclub at around 2.20am. The accused then put her arms around the doorman’s neck and bit him on the right cheek. The doormen approached nearby police and showed them the mark left by the bite.”
The court heard that Murray was under the influence of alcohol. Defence agent Sam Milligan said that Murray, whose address was given as Leask Avenue, knew the doorman as she had previously worked with him.
He said: “Miss Murray was recovering from surgery at the time and was on medication. She had ignored the warnings that advised her not to take alcohol. She apologised to the doorman once she heard what she had done.”
Fining her £50, Sheriff Philip Mann said: “You have been unable to explain why you acted in this way and don’t seem to understand why you did it.”
