TWO men have appeared in Peterhead Sheriff court this week on murder charges.
Michael William Geddes (35) and Stevie Sean Angus (25) appeared in private on consecutive days.
They are charged with the murder of Aaron Arthur (31) at an address in the town’s Longate on Monday of last week.
Neither made any plea or declaration and both were remanded to re-appear before the court within eight days of their initial hearing.
Aaron Arthur’s family released a statement through Grampian Police which read: “Aaron was brought up and went to school in Peterhead, the youngest of eight children, and was well known as a loveable rogue.
“It is hard to describe the sense of loss and deep sadness felt by the family at this time, and it will not be easy to come to terms with what has happened.
“A much-loved son and uncle, he will be missed by his mother, five brothers and two sisters. We will all treasure the memories we have of Aaron.
“We are grateful to friends and family for their support at this difficult time and ask that media allow us privacy to grieve for our loss.”
