Police appeal for witnesses of assault

Police Scotland is appealing for information following an assault that occurred at the bus stop in the Kirk Street area of Peterhead on Thursday, December 11.

The incident is believed to have happened between 8.45pm and 9pm and the two suspects are described as being males, in their late 20s, medium build and around 5ft 10ins tall.

At the time of the assault, the first male was wearing a black hooded jumper with his hood up and the second male, who had a stubble beard and spoke with a local accent, was wearing a navy hoody top.

Both suspects made off towards Constitution Street after the assault.

The male victim, 42, was not injured as a result of the incident but his wallet containing a low three figure sum of money was stolen.
