Police Scotland has appealed for witnesses following a break-in and theft at around 1.30am on Wednesday, July 15, at St Andrews Primary School, Albert Street, Fraserburgh.
A number electrical items were taken worth a low four-figure sum of money.
Sergeant Graeme Cupples commented: “It is incredibly disappointing to see a building which is central to the community being targeted in this way. Some of the items stolen have been recovered however a considerable amount of damage was caused within the school by the perpetrators.
“The cost to the school to replace the items and repair the damage not only impacts on children who attend the school but the wider local community.
“The Banff and Buchan Community Policing Team is dedicated to keeping people safe and will do everything possible to detect these offences. I would ask the local community to assist Police and come forward with any information you may have.
“Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
