Men reported in relation to break-ins

A number of people have been reported in relation to break-ins following incidents in the Aberdeenshire area.

Two men, aged 29 and 22, have been reported following a break-in and theft from a quarry in the Longside area overnight between 14 and 15 December.

They are expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court today (Friday, December18).

A 24-year-old man has also been reported in relation to a separate, unrelated break-in and theft to a residential property in Aberchirder that happened on 20 October.

The man is also expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court today.

Detective Inspector Norman Stevenson said: “We continue to urge people to ensure their properties are secure and valuables are left out of sight, especially as we approach Christmas.

“Anyone who witnesses suspicious behaviour is asked to contact us on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
