Man who refused breath test banned

A FRASERBURGH man who refused a breath test has been fined £900.

Andrejs Ermakovs, of Witchill Road, refused to produce the specimen after police suspected he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs on the town’s Shore Street on August 21 last year.

Ermakovs, who is originally from Lithuania, struggled violently with police when they attempted to arrest him.

Leonard Birkenshaw, defending, said that there had been a “misunderstanding” on Ermakovs’ part and that he had “maintained that he was not at fault.”

Ermakovs (29), was fined £900 and banned from driving for two years.
