A 39-year-old man has been charged in relation to two thefts from farm shops in the Peterhead and Rothienorman areas.

The theft from Clola Farm Shop near Peterhead happened between Tuesday September 4 and Thursday September 6 with a mid-two figure sum of cash stolen.

The other theft occurred at Thorneybank Farm Shop on Monday September 5 with a low two-figure sum of money stolen.

The man is expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court today.
