Man charged after alleged Peterhead robbery

A 33-year-old man has been charged in connection with an alleged robbery at a Peterhead shop on Tuesday, March 14.

The alleged robbery took place at the Premier convenience store in the Marischal Street area and the man was also charged in connection with two other thefts from commercial premises.

A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and he is expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court today (Thursday).

Detective Sergeant Martyn Thomson, who led the investigation, said: "Thank you to all those who provided information in relation to this inquiry, and to the local community for their patience while the incident was dealt with."
