Assault at Drummers Corner

Grampian Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Peterhead’s Drummers Corner.

The attack took place at around 10pm on Sunday, with the 29-year-old victim receiving treatment for a minor head injury at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. He was kept in hospital overnight, for observations.

His assailant is described as being quite short, of stocky build, having numerous tattoos on his arms and having dark hair.

He was wearing a navy blue Scotland football top and blue shorts. At the time of the incident he had a dark Staffordshire Bull Terrier with him.

Investigating Officer Constable Lisa Shand said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the victim being assaulted and knows the identity of the attacker to contact the police.”
