Officers from the Aberdeenshire Community Investigation Team are appealing for help from members of the public to help re-unite owners with stolen jewellery and electrical items.

A significant amount of stolen property has been recovered and the items are believed to have been stolen from across the Aberdeenshire area.

Officers have managed to return some of the items to owners, including an engagement ring and Tiffany jewellery.

However, Police Scotland now needs help from members of the public to help trace owners that may have not reported thefts to the police.

Detective Sergeant Mike Reynolds said: “We are looking for the community to help us reunite these items with their rightful owners.

Some of the items that we have recovered are very distinctive.”

A 46 year-old woman is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date in relation to the incidents and police are following a positive line of enquiry in relation to others who may be involved.

Anyone with information should call 101.
