Children airlifted to ARI

Police Scotland have revealed that two children are in the process of being airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following a two-vehicle collision this afternoon.

Two vehicles had collided on the A90 Lonmay to Fraserburgh road, near Rathen, this afternoon at around 12:47pm.

Presently, the road has been closed at the junction with the B9032 (Memsie) and the Cortes junction, with the ambulance and fire and rescue service on the scene.

No information on the vehicles involved is currently available, however, Police Scotland have said that two children were in the process of being airlifted to ARI with suspected leg injuries.

Five people are involved in the collision.
