Christian Aid Week seeks Cruden house-to-house collectors

Christian Aid Week is from May 12-18 and Cruden Parish Church will be holding a Buttery Morning on Saturday, May 11, from 10am to 11.30am in the Public Hall, Hatton. Tickets are £3.

Anyone willing to do house to house collections in the Cruden area for the cause of Christian Aid could contact either M. Bratton on 812573 or Rosemary Reid on 841531.

Peterhead Old Parish Church will have morning worship, to which all are welcome, on Sunday, May 12, at 11am. The service is to be led by Elaine Taylor.

In St. Fergus Parish Church, the Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated on Sunday, May 12. Please note that this service will be at the earlier time of 10am.

It is intimated also that on Saturday, May 11, the friends at St. Fergus Parish Church are having a Buttery Morning with the usual stalls all in aid of church funds.

This is being held in the Public Hall from 10am to 12 noon.

On Sunday, May 12, the morning service in Old Deer Church commences at 10.30am and will be led by the Rev. Sheila Kirk.

The Sunday School meets as usual and teas will be served afterwards.

On Wednesday, May 15, Deer Parish Church Prayer Group will meet in Old Deer Church from 6.30pm to 7.15pm.

The Blythswood Care collecting vehicle is due back in Peterhead and district on Thursday, May 16, when all items donated to help the charity in its work will be received most gratefully.

The locations and times are as usual the former Focus car park off Catto Drive from 9.30am to 12.30pm, then a call at Crimond at 1.15pm after which the vehicle will be at Fraserburgh Leisure Centre until 4.30pm.

Please note that a Gospel Concert is being held in the Peterhead Fishermen’s Mission on behalf of Christian Aid on Wednesday, May 29, commencing at 7.30pm.
