Peterhead Methodist Church Sisterhood will be bringing their session to a close on Wednesday, April 27, at 7.15 p.m. when there is to be a musical evening provided by the invited guests, Davie Davidson, William Morgan and John Milne. All ladies are very welcome.
The Christian Aid Concert featuring the Golden Girls from Aberdeen is being held in the Palace Hotel on Thursday, April 28, at 7.30 p.m.
Admission is by ticket priced £5 each. It has been reported already that the support for this particular occasion has been very good and the organisers have been much encouraged. There are a few tickets still remaining and they are at the Faith Mission Book Shop, Erroll Street.
Peterhead Salvation Army has announced that the Planet Kidz Club for children in primaries 1 – 7 will resume again on Friday, April 29, from 6 to 7.30 p.m. The Youth Cafe Drop-in for youth of secondary school ages upward will also resume on Friday, April 29, from 8 to 10 p.m.
On Sunday, May 1, there will be morning worship in Old Deer Church at 10.30 a.m. led by Roz Armitage and a warm invitation and welcome is extended to all. There is no Sunday School that morning and crèche facilities are available during the service.
Then in the evening of May 1 there is to be a Praise Service at 6 p.m. in Fetterangus Church and again all are welcome. Teas will be served at the close of this service.
The next walk for Cruden Parish Church walking group is on May 7 to Kincardine O’Neil, Dess waterfall and Aboyne.
It has been intimated that the Buchan East Presbyterial Council will be having their Annual Coffee Evening at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, in Fraserburgh Old Parish Church Centre. Entertainment will be provided by the members of Fraserburgh Old Choir.
Peterhead Fishermen’s Mission still has the Sunday Night Cap service on Sunday, May 1, at 8 p.m. and all are welcome.
On Wednesday, May 4, Old Deer Church Prayer Group will meet in the church from 6.30 to 7.15 p.m.
Cruden Parish Church has given advance notice that a Buttery Morning on behalf of Christian Aid is being arranged to be held in Hatton Public Hall on Saturday, May 7, commencing at 10 a.m.
Readers are asked to note that on Sunday, May 8, in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Merchant Street, there is to be a Hymnathon. It has been a while since such an event was last held in St. Peter’s.
This will be in the evening of May 8 commencing at 7 p.m. and some 30 hymns all chosen by the congregation will be sung. An admission donation of £3 will include tea.
