A charity ladies lunch was held recently in aid of the Scottish Spina Bifida Association at Waterside Inn in Peterhead
This was the second lunch held this year due to popular demand.
The event was a great success and it was great to see some new faces among the usual supporters .
The organising committee’s target for the event was to raise £7,ooo to take them up to the £100,000 mark since fundraising began six years ago. This target was met.
The event began with intoxicating tea and strawberries in the foyer along with raffles, a separate Gucci handbag raffle and tombola. Guests were then treated to an afternoon of entertainment and games.
A local photo booth business went down a storm with guests, and certainly added to the fun of the day. No1 magazine was also at the event and pictures are expected to be in the next issue due out on October 18.
The committee has expressed thanks to all local businesses and supporters who helped make the day such a success.
The next event is a St Andrews dinner and dance and is being held on November 30 at the Waterside Inn.
This event is for couples as well as groups. There will be a champagne reception and three-course meal, with entertainment in the form of a Michael Buble tribute act.
There will also be raffles, a tombola and games.
It is expected to sell out fast and early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
Tickets are priced at £40 per person.
