Charity gig at the Palace

Peterhead’s Palace Hotel is the venue this Saturday for a musical fundraiser in aid of local cancer charities.

A fabulous line-up of local talent will be performing from 7.30pm to raise funds for Cancer Research, CLAN, Macmillan Nurses and Marie Curie Nurses.

Organiser Janice Duncan has put together a great blend of young and more experienced performers including Holly Duncan and Nicole Christie, Stephen, Graham and Phil Podlesney and Aly Salam. They will be joined at the Palace gig by Morag Skene of Willowbank, John Milne and the Starlite Disco.

No stranger to organising charity concerts, Janice is hoping Peterhead folk will come along in their droves and support this latest event.

She told us: “So many of us have seen our families and friends affected by cancer that we really want to repay the charities and groups who support those most in need.

“Local businesses have been hugely generous in donating to our raffles from big cash prizes to an iPad, golf outings to signed goodies.

“It promises to be a great night out all in the name of a great group of charities.”

Tickets for Saturday’s gig are £10 payable at the door.
