Casualty rescued from harbour by Peterhead lifeboat

The Peterhead lifeboat crew were launched this morning to aid a casualty injured on board a local fishing boat in Peterhead harbour.

The RNLI Peterhead Tamar Lifeboat The Misses Robertson of Kintail was requested to launch by Aberdeen Coastguard at 09.40 am to respond with its volunteer crew to help the casualty.

The injured person was transferred to the lifeboat and then taken to the lifeboat berth to be transferred to a waiting ambulance.

The lifeboat was stood down at 11 am, after the transfer of the injured person to an ambulance.

There is also a Police Scotlan d training day ongoing at the harbour.
