SBP Chartered Accountants expands on expertise

A North-east accountancy firm has further expanded its team at its Peterhead office.

SBP Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors has appointed Paul Emmerson as client manager due to the continued growth of the company.

The firm has more than 30 staff members at its four branches in the North-east based in Aberdeen, Peterhead, Banff and Fraserburgh.

Mr Emmerson, a fully qualified accountant who has worked in the industry for 30 years, has taken on the role of client principal based in Peterhead, and will manage a wide range of clients from small sole traders and partnerships to limited companies cover a number of different areas including accounts, tax returns and VAT.

Before moving to the North-east, Mr Emmerson (47), worked as a practice manager at an accountancy firm in Edinburgh and will use his extensive knowledge in his new role at SBP Chartered Accountants.

SBP managing partner John Hannah said: “Paul has extensive knowledge in accountancy, and we welcome him to the team as we continue to expand our expertise and services to deliver the best service possible to our customers across the North-east and further afield.”

The firm offers a variety of business and accountancy services, including personal and business taxation, as well as a dedicated business services department to cover everything including bookkeeping, VAT and payroll requirements.
